My belief in myself gets me through hard times.
Global Resiliency
"The standardised 14-item resilience scale (RS-14) measured the degree of individual resilience (personal competence and acceptance of self and life) using a 7-point Likert scale (responses: strongly disagree-strongly agree) (Wagnild & Young, 1993). An example of RS-14 items included ‘I usually manage one way or another’ and ‘I can usually find things to laugh about’ (Wagnild, 2009). Each point on the Likert scale was assigned a value from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree). The RS-14 scores were obtained by summing across all 14 items. Scores could range from 7 to 98. A score of 73 or lower was considered to be on the low end of resilience, and a score of 91 or higher was considered to be on the high end of resilience (Wagnild, 2009). (McElroy, 2016, The association of resilience, perceived stress and predictors of depressive symptoms in sexual and gender minority youths and adults) A summated score of ≥ 82 is taken to indicate high resilience; 74-81 indicates moderate resilience; and ≤ 73 indicates low resilience [10]. These are the accepted groupings for measuring resilience using this scale [10]. (McGowan, 2017: Resilience and Physical and Mental Well‑Being in Adults with and Without HIV)"
I can get through difficult times because I've experienced difficulty before.
